Best Booth to Date

Well I am only four days late better than usual that's for sure so that means I will be talking to you sooner than later!  I have to pat myself on the back that is really impressive to me.  I  have been so busy as usual but I have really wanted to share the pictures of my booth from Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, New York!  The show was a success and what an amazing fair grounds and venue.  I have to say it is my second favorite County Living Fair venue... of course Columbus is my favorite. Although, the really cool oil cloth flags made by Modern June were amazing that connected all the 4-H barns together was AWESOME! As alway Mom and Dad came with me; Dad drove the trailer and Mom as always by my side as the number one sales girl and we can't forget her title here at the shop as Official Fat Quarter Folder.  On a side note each year when we go to Spring Quilt Market I always make up a fun little gift for mom.  This year was her very own Olive Grace business cards!  Has her name and everything on them and her official position!  So next time you see her or meet her ask her for her business card!  So back to the CLF show... the trip was about a seven hour drive from home.  We packed the pig trailer up and were off!  The booth was truly awesome and I was so so proud of I think it was honestly the best booth I (we) have put together! We set up all day Thursday and while I was finishing up Mom and Dad bought all the beautiful flowers and greenery for the booth. The foxglove and Hibiscus Tree were a hit!  Here are some pictures and let me know what you think.  I have been trying to think what I am going to do for CLF in Columbus this September! Gotta out do myself...Check out my website www.olivegracestudios.com for when the other great County Living Shows are! Hope you enjoy the pictures... I am glad that I finally took before and after pictures!

May Wrap-up: Quilt Market & Shop Owner's Retreat at Crabapple Hill!

As usual it has been forever since I have written!  However I bought this fancy new iPhone that I can sink with my computer and put a re-occurring date on my calender called BLOG!  So every Tuesday I get a reminder to Blog... so I am sitting down and blogging!  I need to make sure that I don't snooze it...

Here are some of the pictures that I have been taking in the last month or so!  First was Quilt Market in Portland, OR... Mom and I ate at our favorite breakfast spot Mother's Bistro and had a Latte that was amazing! Some of the pictures below are of some of the beautiful fabric that will be arriving in the shop this fall!  I was really loved Heather Baliey's booth... she had actual grass as her flooring!  I had to share Sue Spargo's amazing quilt too! I discovered a great stationery shop too in Portland... Oblation Papers!  If I didn't own a quilt shop I probably would own a papery!  So i just buy sweet stationary for my collection!   After quilt market mom and drove to Benton City, Wa to Crabapple Hill's Shop Owner's Retreat!  Mom and I had the pleasure to spend two wonderful inspiring days at Meg Hawkey's Studio.  We worked on an awesome project that she is still working and but let us work on one of the blocks! Can't wait to see what she comes up with I know it will be amazing! Mom and I truly enjoyed every moment that we spent together.  Another trip that I turned a year older... 31!  Hard to believe that I am 31 years old.  Anyway our last part of the trip was about a day enjoying one of our favorite cities!  Seattle... I just shared with you some of the beautiful fresh flowers at Pike's Market!  The flowers were truly amazing...

I will be blogging next week about our trip to Rhinebeck, New York for Country Living Fair!  I can't wait to show you how beautiful the booth looked!  In the meantime I will be cleaning and re-arranging the shop.  That my friends is what you call a creative mess maybe I will take some before and after pictures! Until next week... HOPEFULLY!

My Birthday Gift from my mom!
